  • We arrived at Hecho en Casa just after sunset. There was plenty of available seating, but they were decently busy. They had a hand-washing station and temperature check as well. One of the servers saw our look of uncertainty so she explained how their ordering worked. You order and pay at the window, and if you add more while dining you pay ther difference after. We ordered chorizo as an appetizer. The menu said it was an Argentinean chorizo and it was served with a chimichurri sauce. It was wonderful. The sausage itself had a great flavor, and you could tell it had been grilled which really enhanced the flavor. I ordered the pork chop with guava sauce and arroz con gandules. We were sitting outside under the trees with lights strung between them, so it was hard to see what the food looked like. The pork chop was thick which made it hard to cut with the plastic-ware. However, it was so good that I managed. The pork was done just right, the sauce was sweet and went well with the meat, and the rice was really tasty. My wife ordered the churrasco steak with mashed potatoes loaded with cheese and bacon. We were supposed to get it with a mushroom sauce but it came out with more chimichurri. Again, considering the cut of meat it was hard for her to cut it with plastic-ware. She really enjoyed the flavor though. The service was fine and the girls waiting on tables did a great job. We were going to go next door to get dessert, but we were too full. I would definitely go back if we're in Guayama again.

  • It is a nice fresh place. The structure is all in wood well constructed. The menu is in the wall you make your order, pay and they give you a number that you stand in your table. The food is well presented and taste good. My only complain is that I find it to grease because it was most of it deep fry. If you look for something light I suggest you a chicken salad that I ask for. Very good and not greassy but if it doesn't botter you the arepa burger are great.

  • While everything was excellent, the wait for the food was almost 3 hours. If you don't want to wait that long, choose another restaurant. The food was delicious, so I guess that the wait was worth it.

  • Wonderful staff! Fantastic atmosphere. The food was so delicious. I got the El Argentino burger, and my husband got the Classico. We've been on island enough to know that splitting a side was for the good of our waistline, lol. So we shared the mamposteado. Previously, my favorite place to get mamposteado was a restaurant called Carnival (I'm drawing a blank as to where on the island it is. West in the mountains somewhere. ) this is now my favorite. Best yet! Our only critique is that we ordered our burgers medium-well and they were well done, but we'll just order medium next time.

  • Food was awesome, they accommodated my request since I can't eat greasy food and they prepared the meat for me. I'm very impressed by the service and can't wait to dine there again

  • Delicious, Authentic, and Full of Puerto Rican Flavor! Eating at Hecho en Casa was an amazing experience from start to finish! The restaurant has a cozy, welcoming atmosphere that instantly makes you feel at home — just like its name says. The staff is incredibly friendly and attentive, always making sure everything is perfect. The food was absolutely delicious — full of flavor, fresh, and clearly made with love. I tried the mofongo with garlic shrimp, and it was one of the best I’ve ever had. The portions are generous, and every dish feels homemade, with that authentic Puerto Rican touch that’s hard to find anywhere else. The place is clean, comfortable, and beautifully decorated, with a mix of rustic and modern details that reflect the island’s culture. It’s perfect for a casual lunch, a family dinner, or even a quiet meal with friends. The prices are very reasonable for the quality you get. I also loved the local drinks and desserts — especially the flan, which was creamy and perfectly sweet. Everything about this restaurant feels genuine and made with passion. If you want to enjoy real Puerto Rican food in a warm and friendly setting, Hecho en Casa is the place to go. Highly recommended — I can’t wait to come back! ???????? #HechoEnCasa #PuertoRicoFood #AuthenticFlavors #PonceEats #PuertoRicanCuisine #FoodieParadise #LocalRestaurant #IslandVibes #CaribbeanFoodLove

  • This is the case of “we were heading to a different restaurant and when your GPS says you’re still 30 min away but you stumble upon Plan B” Yeah! We were starving and decided to give this place a shot. Hecho en Casa ????????is a delightful place we fell in love with the place. So many trees, the cleanliness, the soft island music, the breeze, the service, the food yikes! I loved it all

  • We stopped in to get a bite to eat after a long day of hanging out at the beach. This is the type of restaurant where you order at the counter then they bring out your meal to the table. I ordered the chuletas can can with tostones and my girlfriend ordered the rellenos de pana and the chorizo. She loved her appetizers. They were delicious. My chuleta was good but not great. It was a little bit over done for my taste. This cut of meat is difficult to cook because you have to get the chicharrón crisp without over cooking the chop portion. I enjoyed my meal it was seasoned well, but like I said just a tad over done. We had a good experience and would probably dine here if in the area.
